This four-year program at Swarrnim Institute of Health Sciences will prepare you to work as both a registered nurse and midwife in public and private hospitals, rural and community hospitals, and specialist services that provide medical or surgical care to mothers and babies. The Bachelors in General Nursing and Midwifery program is developed in consultation with experienced medical practitioners. | Admission & entry requirements |
An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized Board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum 45% aggregate marks (PCBE); for SC/ST candidates – the minimum percentage of marks is 40%.
10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board.
10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
A candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or would complete the said age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the GNM Course.
Student should be medically fit.
