Program Description Civil engineering is a highly growing industry that is forever adapting to relevant developments in this field and catering to current issues like water scarcity & pollution. Our degree course, B.Tech in Civil Engineering covers a broad scope of topics like hydraulics, mechanics, statistical analysis and materials science. These foundation subjects are taught with computer-aided design skills and an emphasis on regular project work. It is a field of engineering that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines and railways. Civil engineering is traditionally broken into a number of sub-disciplines. It is the second-oldest engineering discipline and it is defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering. You find it spread across the public sector - from municipal level of national governments and in the private sector, from individual homeowners to the multinational companies. The course duration is three to five years and the curriculum generally includes classes in physics, mathematics, project management, design and specific topics in civil engineering. It is highly relevant in this age when the demand for civil engineers continues to increase steadily.
