The PG Programme (WATER RESOURCES ENGINEERING) is running under the Department of Civil Engineering, VSSUT Burla. In the MTech programme(NBA accreditated), various subjects of importance like Advanced Fluid Mechanics, Advanced Hydrology, Advanced Hydraulics, Ground Water Hydrology, Irrigation and Drainage System Design, Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory, Geoinformatics Laboratory, Open Electives such as , Dissertation, Numerical Methods in Engineering, Application of Soft Computing Techniques in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Systems planning and Management, Modelling, Simulation and Optimization, Global Warming & Climate Change , Neuro-Fuzzy Applications in Water Resources Engineering , Hydraulic Structures and Hydropower Engineering, Urban Drainage Sewage System and Water Distribution System, Water Quality Modeling and Management, Hydrometry, Water acts and Water services, Remote Sensing and GIS Applications in Water Resources Engineering, Ground Water Quality, Pollution and Control, Computational Fluid Dynamics Finite Element Method, Environmental Impact Assessment, Sediment Transport, River Engineering, Disaster Management and Mitigation, Project Planning and Management, Non-Conventional Energy, and Computational and Statistical Methods are taught. The students are offered elective subjects from the above mentioned subjects.
