The Doctoral programme in Chemistry leading to PhD degree started in the year 2010 with a view to enhancing knowledge based temper in the minds of students. The Department offers PhD degree on various files of Chemistry such as Surface Science, Chemical Kinetics, and Adsorption studies, Corrosion studies, Nanotechnology, Garphene chemistry, Solvent extraction, Inorganic synthesis, Environmental science, Polymer technology, Composites, Organic Synthesis and various related areas. The Department has various modern instruments such as UV-Vis and FTIR spectrophotometers, Electrochemical workstation, SEM (University Facility), AAS, DLS instrument, Fluorimeter, Rotational viscometer and various other small and related instruments and facilities. The Department has produced many journal articles in the related fields in various national and high impact international journals and has been actively engaged in research programmes.
