M.Sc. Animal Science programme is offered by Livestock Production Management department under Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. The Animal Science MSc program covers studies on global animal wealth, production trends of ruminant’s mono gastric, and poultry. Animal science study help people to develop an understanding of the biology of domestic and captive animals, their care, management and use as a resource for food, fiber, recreation and companionship. The course explores innovation and intervention needed for improving production and reproduction of farm animals and birds utilizing tools of genetics and breeding, biotechnology and management. The course equips students to manage animals in a way that integrates Livestock Production with industry without compromising animal welfare and comfort. The course aims to develop skills in designing projects and its efficient implementation by imparting knowledge on project management, human resource management and business management.
