Program Description Department of Management Studies is unique amongst India’s B-schools because it seeks to enrich the legal foundations of law graduates with a working knowledge of business practices and to enlighten those seeking careers in management regarding the legal requirements for business processes. Graduates from Department of Management Studies possess a rich mixture of legal and management knowledge and are familiar and comfortable with the management of, and strategic implications of the intersection between law and management. we are currently offering specializations in: Corporate Governance, Innovation & Sustainability Management, Financial Services and Capital Markets, Operations & Systems Management, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Business Regulations, Court Management. The MBA program consists of core course credits and elective course credits. A course can be of one, two, three and four credits. The total credits offered during the program are 130. One credit is equivalent to nine hours of teaching/contact sessions. The M.B.A. program covers thirty-five teaching courses including one seminar course and a Master’s level dissertation. As part of the program, every student undergoes three (one mandatory and two optional) internships to help them understand the application of the theory learned in the class and real life challenges to these applications. At the Department of Management Studies there are no silos of specialization by default. Our students are encouraged to pursue their interest by electing cross – functional courses from the electives basket. The Major / Minor specialization is awarded based on academic credits earned at the end of the 2nd year.
Admission & entry requirements 1. Eligibility: i. Graduates of any discipline with at-least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute/university. ii. Apply for NALSAR MANAGEMENT ENTRANCE TEST (N-MET)/CAT/XAT / GMAT / GRE / C- MAT. 2. Selection Process: The selection process will be based on the score of NALSAR MANAGEMENT ENTRANCE TEST (NMET)/CAT/XAT/GMAT/GRE, Academic credentials, Professional achievements, Case Analysis, SOP and Personal Interview. 3. Foreign Nationals/Industry Sponsored need not take any test. Selection will be based on: Marks secured in the qualifying exam, Quality of work experience, Statement of Purpose (SOP) and Telephonic Interview.
