Program Description The key objective of the programme is to to develop skills, knowledge and understanding related to environmental sustainability, construction and building technology, adopting the principles and practices of sustainable building design, while responding to environmental challenges such as Climate change, environmental degradation etc. The course offers a contextualized and deep understanding of sustainability in architecture. Study moves from the broad aspects of Man and Environment, energy and climate zones, through alternative materials and technologies for sustainability, urban sustainability issues, to the specifics of energy and environmental assessment. Waste management, Intelligent buildings, Eco cities, Passive & active solar strategies for energy conservation will be explored along the way. Throughout the course students are encouraged to challenge existing orthodoxies and to explore potential, cultural and technical responses to a changing world, whilst respecting the limits posed by our ecosystem.
Admission & entry requirements B.Arch. CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in case of Open/OBC candidates in qualifying degree, whereas in case of SC/ST candidates a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-Point scale (or equivalent) or 55% marks in qualifying degree will be applicable or the applicable GoI norms adopted by the institute from time to time. EWS shall be as per the GoI norms. Entry to the course is through CCMT online admissions process every year/Direct Admissions
