Program Description	The Department offers the M. Phil course since 2014 as a pre-doctoral program to encourage the Integrated M.Sc. and M. Sc. Students for perusing their higher studies in pure and applied Mathematics. The department gives sufficient scope to develop the skills and competencies of the students to undertake a substantial piece of work that is of the publishable quality which makes an original contribution to the broad field of pure and applied mathematics. The major research areas are Applied functional analysis, Optimization techniques, Sequence Space, Fuzzy logic, Complex analysis, Wavelet analysis, Numerical analysis and Fluid dynamics etc.
Admission & entry requirements	Written Test +Career Marks Must have passed M.Sc. /M.A. in Mathematics from UGC Recognised University Advertisement for Admission to M.Phil Programme is put up on the University website/Reputed newspaper in the month of April/May
