Program Description Thus, Clinical Psychologists play an important role in optimizing the health care delivery system and there is an urgent need to train more professional clinical psychologists. This program is designed as the minimum essential professional qualification required for licensed clinical practice in India (Rehabilitation Council of India, 2017). The latest program framework, applicable from the academic year 2017-18, builds further on the previous iterations. It is a two-year, full-time, rigorous professional education program that can be joined after completing a M.A. or M.Sc. in Psychology from a recognized institution. The aim of this course is to prepare the trainee to function as a qualified professional Clinical Psychologist in the areas of mental and physical health by offering Diagnostic, Therapeutic, Rehabilitative, Administrative services, and to work towards promoting the Well-being and Quality-of-life of individuals. LEARNING OUTCOMES After the completion of this professional program1. Students will be able to work as a qualified Clinical Psychologist in the field of Mental Health. 2. Students will be capable of diagnosing, assessing through Psychological Tests and providing appropriate Psychological Interventions to the person with Mental Health problems. 3. Students will be skillful in dealing with Child, Adult and Geriatric Cases for various Psychological problems. 4. Students will be able to develop an understanding and acumen for the Researches in the field.
Admission & entry requirements M.A./M.Sc degree in Psychology with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST category, minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
