Program Description	The MBA programme is designed to introduce learners to the various areas of business such as, accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, operations management, etc. In this 2 Year Programme, all the courses are compulsory upto 3rd semester. In the 4th semester, the learner have to select any one area of specialization out of Finance/ Marketing/HRM. Besides, the learners will have to submit a project report on any of their chosen specialization in the 4th semester.
Admission & entry requirements	For admission into MBA programme for 2018-19 session, a candidate must clear an entrance test. Any graduate (Except in Fine Arts) with minimum 40% marks in aggregate can apply for the entrance test. The following is the admission procedure: i) The announcement for the application for admission test (Entrance Test) to MBA Programme would be made through newspaper and Universities Website. ii) Application for the admission to MBA Programme of KKHSOU needs to be submitted as per the Format attached with admission Bulletin. The candidates will have to appear in an Entrance Test in selected Study Centres of the University. iii) The candidates will be exempted from Entrance Test if they have: a. Three years of managerial experience in government, public or private organization b. Three years of experience as an Entrepreneur c. Those who have a minimum of 40% marks in any national level entrance test for admission into management programmes (MAT/CAT/ATMA/CMAT/XAT) iv) The Entrance Test will be a test based on MCQs in the areas of General Knowledge, General English, General Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning. v) Candidates seeking exemption will have to apply to The Registrar of KKHSOU with adequate supporting evidences. vi) Admission and Entrance Test shall be through the selected Study Centres of the MBA Programme only spread across the state of Assam. vii) After the selection procedure, the learners will have to pay course fee through the Bank challan at any branch of State Bank of India. A copy of the challan returned by the Bank after payment is required to be submitted at the recognised study centers within due date. Course fee may also be paid in the form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of “Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University” and payable at Guwahati. The University has also introduced the system of online receipt through SBI. viii) All the enrolled learners will be provided with the self learning materials, registration number, programme guidelines and identity cards. Lateral Admission Candidates having Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from any University/Institute recognised by UGC/AICTE having 75% common courses are eligible to get lateral entry in the 3rd semester of the MBA Programme. Lateral admission will require prior approval from the University authority. The candidates will have to apply to ‘The Registrar’ of KKHSOU furnishing details of supporting evidence.
