| Program Description |
The Department of Electrical Engineering at IUST was established in 2012. It currently offers one undergraduate program awarding a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) degree in electrical engineering. Six batches of electrical engineers have graduated since the inception of the department. In 2018, a Ph.D. program was started.
The department has state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities to provide its students education and training aligned to its mission. The faculty is well qualified and dedicated, having received training and education at reputed institutions within the country.
Students entering the undergraduate program are provided basic training in analysis and design of electrical energy systems, including, broadly, systems employed for generation, transmission, control and conversion of electrical energy.
