| Program Description |
Our program, BSc (Hons) in Nursing (Public Health) is designed for nurses interested to gain a professional qualification in health visiting, occupational health nursing or school nursing. The program proposes registered nurses a prospect to enhance their knowledge and extend their skills to enhance health.

| Admission & entry requirements |
For Malaysian Candidates
Option 1:
• Possess Diploma in Nursing (MQF Level 4) or its equivalentMinimum three (3) months working experience in public health
• Possess a Post Basic in Midwifery Registered with Nursing Board Malaysia
• Possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
Option 2:
• Possess Diploma in Nursing (MQF Level 4) or its equivalent
• Possess a Post Basic in Public Health Nursing
• Registered with Nursing board Malaysia
• Possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
For International Candidates
• Possess Diploma in Nursing (MQF Level 4) or its equivalent
• Minimum three (3) Years clinical working experience
• Registered with Nursing Council or Board of country of origin
• Possess a post basic in Public Health Nursing or Midwifery subject to approval of the Selection Committee of the University
• Possess a current Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) form Nursing Board Malaysia before clinical placement
• Pass International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with minimum score of 5.5 or Test of English as a Foreign Language as a medium of instruction.
Health Status
• All candidates must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within one-month form commencement of the nursing programme.
• All candidates will be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within one month of commencement of programme.
• Candidates with any of the following medical conditions cannot be admitted into the programme such as:
1. HIV / AIDS
2. Hepatitis B
3. Hepatitis C
4. Mental health disorders
5. Epilepsy
6. Colour blindness
• Candidate must not have any physical disabilities or impaired senses that hinder nursing dexterity.
• Pregnancy is not allowed throughout the course.
