Program Description Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme is offered in Plant Morphology and Taxonomy, Plant Biochemistry, Cytogenetics and Molecular Biology, Basic Microbiology, Plant Physiology, Plant Breeding, Applied Microbiology, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Pathology, Ecology and Environment, Seed Technology, Bio-diversity and Conservation areas of specialization. This has a course work of one semester duration with an end semester examination. Admission & entry requirements Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate with a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The applicant must also clear an entrance test and a viva-voce conducted by the University Department.
