Program Description	Candidate undergoes coursework for 12 credit and carries out research to prepared thesis under particular area of specialization. The time taken for PhD programme is generally 3 to 5 years for full-time candidates and 4 to 6 years for part-time candidates.
Admission & entry requirements	Candidates for admission to the Ph.D programme shall have a Master’s degree in Kannada or a professional degree in relevant/allied/ concerned subjects declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
