| Program Description |
The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering was established in the year 1997. The courses currently offered by the department are i) B.E.- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, ii) M.E.-Control and Instrumentation Engineering and iii) Ph.D.- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. The department has one Professor, two Associate Professors and eight Assistant Professors supported by two non-teaching staffs. The department has an admirable staff - student ratio of 1:5.
The department has well equipped Laboratories with Yokogawa's Distributed Control System, PLC, LabVIEW & SCADA. The major laboratories of the department are Process Control Laboratory, Control and Instrumentation Laboratory, Virtual Instrumentation Laboratory, Transducers & Measurements Laboratory and Electronics Laboratory.
The department focuses on research areas like Industrial Automation, Robust control, Bio-Modeling, Distributed control system, Virtual Instrumentation, Non Linear controller design, Model predictive control, Plant wide optimization, Medical image processing, Biomedical instrumentation, Biometrics etc. Staff members of the department has effectively participated and presented papers in 10 International Conferences and published 10 papers in various Scopus Indexed Journals during this academic year. The departmental library, which offers international magazines and fully accomplished interdisciplinary references, focuses on the overall growth of students of the department. It has more than 1000 books.
The department has always been prompt in providing good placements, all students were placed in reputed companies during this academic year. The department students have actively involved in technical paper presentations and extracurricular activities and won prizes. They have also attended Inplant trainings during every semester.
