India is known to be a leader in software and IT sector. The programme ‘Bachelor in Computer Application’ aims at exposing the learners to various areas of computer applications including the latest development in IT field. The programme is structured to make the learners proficient in IT related matters. The programme emphasises on the areas of Operating System, DBMS, programming languages like C, C++, JAVA, etc.
Admission & entry requirements Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) Eligibility Those who have passed Higher Secondary/Pre-University examination with Computer Science or Mathematics as one of the subjects, or BPP of this University or those who have passed Diploma from Polytechnics in any discipline. Besides, those who have passed Higher Secondary/Pre-University in Arts and Commerce, Financial Market Mechanism (FMM) under CBSE, vocational stream with required subject but desire to pursue BCA shall have to successfully complete the Paper 4, 5 & 6 only of stream 3 of BPP course. Other papers of the stream are not necessary for them, Such learners may directly enrol into the BCA Programme provided they take admission simultaneously into the BPP for those papers in the first semester itself. It is only on successful completion of the papers that they will be eligible for the award of Certificate, Diploma and / or Degree. Duration: 3 years (6 Semesters).
