Program Description The Master of Arts in Political Science aims at enabling the learners to have theoretical insights into some fundamental concepts in the realm of political thought and political philosophy even as the learners are sought to be made aware of the actual dynamics of political processes and events at various levels of political existence, be it regional, national or international. Accordingly, the learners will be able to learn about and critically select different themes relating to political theory and thought, (both Indian and Western), the Indian political system, public administration encompassing both theory and practice, human rights, social movements and so on. Career Prospects : A Post-Graduate degree in Political Science opens up some interesting career opportunities:  A post-graduate in Political Science can pursue a career in teaching and research after fulfilling the required eligibility criteria.  Political Science also helps learners to gain theoretical understanding of various socio-economic issues. A prospective learner may take admission as per his/her choice in KKHSOU City Study Centre, City Office Khanapara, Jorhat Regional Centre, Jorhat or any other dedicated study centre spread throughout the State of Assam which may be seen in the Information Brochure. There is no study centre of the University outside Assam for territorial jurisdiction as per UGC. Eligibility Criteria: Any Graduate from KKHSOU or any other University recognized by UGC.
