Program Description The B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology degree is awarded following completion of a three-year undergraduate programme committed to the study of human mental processes and behaviour. The programme aims to instil the necessary knowledge and skills for each student’s personal and academic growth, nurturing the next generation of professional leaders in psychology, counselling, and related fields. At JGU, students experience a vibrant intellectual community within a modern and beautiful campus. JSPC students receive a comprehensive education in psychological theory, experimentation, and practice. Employing a multidisciplinary approach, the JSPC curriculum ensures students gain a broad understanding of the psychological sciences. Unique to JSPC, students can customize or personalize their curriculum during their final year of study based on personal interests and long-term professional goals. Beyond the classroom, students gain experiential hands-on experience via practicums and internships. Finally, access to a new Psychology Research Laboratory, and many research centres around campus, affords interested students’ ample opportunity to gain experience in experimental design and data collection. JSPC nurtures the intellectual growth of all students in a culture of learning and exploration. At the end of three years, graduates are prepared to pursue various occupational or academic pursuits and successfully navigate the opportunities and challenges of the future.
