| Program Description |
Aerospace Engineering department started functioning in the year 2009. During the year, the department of Aerospace Engineering made steady progress in terms of academic programme. The program challenging requirements envisaged in the broad areas of Design, Analysis and Testing related to Aircraft, Launch vehicles, Missiles and Space Missions. Design projects are offered in the fields of Computational Fluid Dynamics, Spacecraft and Launch Vehicles besides sounding rockets and missiles by eminent professors. Two members of the staff and a batch of students are under NIUSAT project – Configuration and Quality Assurance sub system. A subsonic research wind tunnel with hot wire anemometer, pressure scanner and precision manometers is available A full-fledged aerospace structural mechanics, Propulsion, Aircraft systems and instrumentation laboratories are available. Four batches of students have attended inplant training in various industries like VSSC, LPSC, Air India and TAL Industries.
