| Program Description |
Over the first two years, students take on foundational core courses in journalism skills, writing, media studies and the interdisciplinary social sciences. Students can take cross-listed electives from JSJC as well as any school in JGU. We encourage our students to complete internships over the semester breaks to apply their classroom experience to the real world.
In the final year, students take on advanced courses in television and new media as well as writing and editing. They may also take JSJC electives which are advanced courses in journalism studies and the allied social sciences. In addition, students may decide to undertake an independent research paper or a themed multimedia portfolio under close supervision by a JSJC faculty member.
