Program Description	This is a research driven masters program meant for candidates with an exceptional background in one of the bioinformatics related domains. The duration of the course may extend beyond 2 yrs. Based on the decision of the academic committee, some of the core courses prescribed for the M Tech program may be waived for MS by research students, depending on their background. They must however fulfill the minimum credit requirements for electives and thesis respectively.
Admission & entry requirements	Admission - Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE) Entry Requirement - Applicants need to appear for a computer-based examination conducted by IIITH. The exam will be held in multiple centres across many cities. For MS programme candidates will be shortlisted for subject interview based on a written General Aptitude Test. The decision on final offer of admission is solely based on the interview performance.
