Program Description	Cognitive Science is an interdisciplinary approach to study mind and behaviour by embracing artificial intelligence, psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, philosophy, and anthropology. Cognitive science is playing an increasingly important role in understanding human behavior, especially when interfaced with technology. The PhD programme in Cognitive Science (CogSci) is a research-based programme. Students in the B.Tech, MS and PhD programs in CSE or ECE in IIIT-H can also do a thesis in Cognitive Science. The research is expected to be of sufficient quality to be publishable in leading international journals and top conferences pertaining to the area of research. We have state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities like Tobii Eye Tracker, Emotiv EEG, physiology monitoring devices from BioNomadix and Thought Technology, VR and access to high performance
Admission & entry requirements	Admission - Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE) Entry Requirement - Applicants need to appear for a computer-based examination conducted by IIITH. The exam will be held in multiple centres across many cities. For Ph.D programme candidates will be shortlisted for subject interview based on a written General Aptitude Test. The decision on final offer of admission is solely based on the interview performance.
