Program Description	Building Science is a field of study that focuses on the technical performance of buildings, building materials and building systems. This broad discipline includes elements of construction technology, material science, architecture, meteorology, sustainable building, and heat and mass transport physics. At IIIT Hyderabad, the Center for IT in Building Science (CBS) focuses on effectively using Information Technology (IT)for sustainable buildings. CBS performs the following activities to promote sustainable buildings in India:
Admission & entry requirements	Admission - Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE) Entry Requirement - Applicants need to appear for a computer-based examination conducted by IIITH. The exam will be held in multiple centres across many cities. For Ph.D programme candidates will be shortlisted for subject interview based on a written General Aptitude Test. The decision on final offer of admission is solely based on the interview performance.
