The Electronics & Communication Engineering Department was started in the year 1989. The department of ECE has emerged as a leading department with excellent laboratory facilities and well qualified and experienced staff members. The staff members not only impart their wealth of knowledge to the students but also attend to the individualistic requirements of the students. The academic programs run by the Department are: B.E degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, M.E degree in Communication Systems and Doctoral degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering. The department is supported with well equipped multidisciplinary laboratories. The department offers high quality learning modules that encompass different areas such as communication, computer, electronics, microcontrollers, integrated circuits, digital signal processing and image processing.
The department annually organizes international/national conferences, seminars, symposiums and workshops for upgrading the student’s knowledge about latest technologies. The IEEE student branch and IEI students’ chapter are effectively functioning in the department. Many of our Staff members have published more than 15 papers in referred International Journals. Our final year students have achieved 100% result in the university examination held in April 2016, About 90% of the final year students are placed in various national and Multinational companies.
