Program Description This is a two-year advanced programme in Library and Information Science, with special emphasis on applications of information technology. On successful completion of this programme, a student will be able to pursue an academic career or take up responsible positions in various private and public sector organisations in the Library and Information fields. The objectives of this programme are to develop manpower capable of • effectively and efficiently working as information professionals at higher levels in libraries and information centres; • design and development of information systems; • contributing to the discipline of Library and Information Science in terms of research and teaching. This programme is offered only at Bengaluru.
Admission & entry requirements In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree of three or more years’ duration, in any discipline.
