| Admission & entry requirements |
As a foreign applicant, you must have a university entrance qualification that is equivalent to the German one.
When applying, for German courses:
German language skills with language level B2 (exceptions: For the degree programs Applied Psychology, Psychology, Communication Psychology and Health Psychology, the language level C1 is required) and also complete the university's internal admission test.
For English-language degree programs, you will need one of the following proof of your English language skills:
TOEFL (min. 80 points) or
IELTS (at least level 6) or
Duolingo English test (min. 95 points) or
Cambridge certificate (at least overall grade B) or
Equivalent proof, e.g. through the free IU English course (min. B2.2), further information can be obtained from our student advisory service.
