Program Description Doctor of Pharmacy prepares students to become frontline healthcare professionals with expertise in medication management & pharmaceutical care. It encourages students to foster critical thinking, ethical responsibility, and clinical competence, preparing graduates to lead healthcare transformations and advocate for better therapeutic outcomes. The curriculum blends basic pharmaceutical sciences with clinical practice to develop professionals capable of ensuring safe, affordable, and effective medication use, participating in therapeutic decision-making, and educating physicians and patients.The department provides training to understand and carry out a prescription audit, drug information, patient counseling, identifying and reporting adverse drug reactions, and identifying and resolving drug-related problems. The course provides theoretical and experiential training through practical and hospital posting in various specialties. The clinical pharmacist can contribute to various fields such as Pharmacovigilance, Insurance claims Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, Medical Coding, Clinical Pharmacy, and Clinical Data Management. With advancements in the healthcare industry, the need for trained and skilled pharmacy professionals is increasing. These programs equip students to take on roles within the community, hospitals, and society.
Admission & entry requirements Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually and Non-zero score in Indira CET(UG) / All State / National level CET /any CET relevant to the program
