| Program Description |
The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year undergraduate program focused on the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It combines core concepts of physics and engineering with practical skills in mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, fluid dynamics, CAD/CAM, robotics, and industrial engineering.
Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines, providing career opportunities across manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, energy, robotics, and automation industries. The program also emphasizes hands-on learning through lab work, projects, internships, and industry collaboration.
Duration: 4 years (8 semesters)
Core subjects: Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Strength of Materials, Machine Design, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Manufacturing Processes
Practical training with modern labs and software tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, etc.)
Prepares students for careers in design, production, maintenance, R&D, or higher studies like M.Tech/MBA
