| Program Description |
The Department aims to generate trained manpower in the areas of Biotechnology, Microbiology and Nano Science & Technology and attempts to integrate research and teaching to harness maximum potential. The M.Sc. (Biotechnology) programme is sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi. Students have to undergo a 14 to 16 weeks of Investigation Problem during the 4th semester which forms an integral part of the programme, major thrust being on research areas pertinent to Plant, Animal & Microbial, Biotechnology & Nano Biotechnology. Each of the enrolled student under DBT sponsored seat is eligible for monthly stipend as per DBT guidelines.
