Program Description	The Courses have been designed with the aim to produce the dynamic and knowledgeable human resources capable of contributing to the national development and welfare of the society. The Department has adopted the UGC Model Curriculum as Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for UG & PG Programme. The Department offers three Specializations in M.Sc. programme i.e. Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry to enable its students to give thrust to ever increasing chemical industry and various researches and teaching institutions in the country and abroad. The group discussion, seminar etc. are essential components of the courses to enhance understanding of the subject, tackle problem independently and accepting new challenges in the thrust area of present scenario. Apart from course curriculum students participate in co-curricular activities i.e. industrial visits, workshops, extension lectures, science quiz interaction with persons from chemical industry and various cultural and sports activities. The successful students being professionally skilled are absorbed in academics, R&D, Chemical industry, research institutions etc. The Department has successfully completed FIST (Level 1) programme of DST, New Delhi.
Admission & entry requirements	B.Sc.(Hons.) in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry with atleast 50% marks (pass marks for SC candidates of Haryana) OR B.Sc. with atleast 50% marks in aggregate with Chemistry as one of the subjects in each semester/ year of B.Sc. degree (pass marks for SC candidates of Haryana). And Students are admitted to the course through entrance examination conducted by University.
