Program Description	Mathematics is a pioneer subject which finds applications in all fields of Science and Technology. The Department offers M.Sc. Mathematics, Dual Degree B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics-M.Sc. Mathematics and Ph.D. programme. The courses taught in M.Sc. Programme include Algebra, Functional Analysis, Complex Analysis, Topology, Differential Equations, Mechanics, Measure & Integration Theory, Integral Equations, Differential Geometry, Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Fluid Dynamics, Mechanics of Solids and Computer Programming etc. The department is having a well-equipped Computing Lab. with Matlab software. On the research outcomes and academic progress, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India has identified this department under DST-FIST Program-2017, Level-I for five years.
Admission & entry requirements	B.A.(Hons.)/ B.Sc.. (Hons.) in Mathematics with atleast 50% marks (pass marks for SC candidates of Haryana) OR B.A./B.Sc. with atleast 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as one of the subjects in each Semester/ Year of B.A./ B.Sc. degree (pass marks for SC candidates of Haryana). And Students are admitted to the course through entrance exanmination conducted by university.
